This indigo patchwork hanten makes a beautiful statement, entirely handmade and embroidered in my atelier in Amsterdam. 
 
A statement piece with its ornamental patterns hand embroidered in the traditional Japanese art of Sashiko.
The Hanten is a Japanese worker jacket and I’ve decided to recreate it in my own way, representing traditional craftsmanship through the art of Sashiko. 
All the pieces of this patchwork are embroidered by hand, one by one and put together to create a beautiful Sashiko patchwork. 
 
The cuffs and collar were carefully stitched by hand to ensure a clean and perfect finishing.
